Train Modules

I'm a self confessed train nerd. Not a rivet counter, but a train nerd none the less.
Consequently, I have friends that are also Train Nerds.

When one of them, not mentioning any names, sends you a message that says "I have an idea for the greatest thing since the Steam Engine", you know it's going to be fun

My mate is building a show layout to showcase a model of the Spirit of Progress, a Victorian Railways premium express passenger service that ran between Spencer St Station in Melbourne to Albury on the NSW/Victorian Border.
The problem with Show layouts is they need to be portable. So he designed a layout consisting of two large return boxes, 4 curved front modules and 5 straight back modules.

I had the job of constructing them. Lots of head scratching and "what the..." followed!
